Imogen and the Lion King

Last week, we had the privilege of giving another Musical Theatre Experience to Imogen & her family who lives in Barnstaple. They all enjoyed a special trip to see the Lion King & were treated like royalty in between Imogen’s treatments in London.
Seeing young people enjoy moments of joy with their family during such challenging times, is exactly why Tabitha’s Smile was created

We’re so pleased you had a magical evening, Imogen ✨💛 🦁

Emily at All time Low concert

On New Year’s Day, while most people were still wrapped up warm, the incredible Westward Ho! community came together for a very cold-water beach swim!

Buckets in hand on a freezing winter morning, your generosity raised enough money to create exactly what our charity is all about: a special experience for a young person going through life-limiting treatment.

Because of that swim…
✨ a young lady and her mum were able to travel to Cardiff
✨ enjoy an amazing pop concert together “ ALL TIME LOW 🎶
✨ and make memories that will stay with them forever

These two photos tell one powerful story — from the bravery of our swimmers to the joy of live music and shared moments. This is what community kindness can do.

Thank you to everyone who swam, donated, supported, and believed in what we do. You truly turned cold hands and cold seas into warm hearts and lasting smiles!

Jenson and The Lion King

Tabitha’s Smile Charity was absolutely delighted to be able to give Jenson & his family a Magical Theatre Experience to see the Lion King Musical for his 8th birthday.

Jenson has been diagnosed with a severe form of cancer, leading to intensive treatment, including a 12-hour operation, radiotherapy, and six months of chemotherapy. His treatment is ongoing in Bristol and London.

A trip to see The Lion King in London was more than just a theatre visit — it was an immersive journey into colour, music, and storytelling. From the opening notes of Circle of Life to the breathtaking stagecraft, the production offered a sense of wonder that transported Jenson and his family far from the realities of his illness and treatment. For a few hours, hospital routines were replaced with laughter, awe, and shared joy.

For young people like Jenson, experiences offered through Tabitha’s Smile can be transformative. The charity is built on the belief that joy is not a luxury — it is essential. By creating opportunities to attend theatre shows, concerts, and events, the charity helps young people reconnect with their passions, build confidence, and simply enjoy being themselves.

Micaella at Phantom of the Opera

We’re so proud to have given our very first Tabitha’s Smile experience to 18-year-old Micaella Brazil from Bristol, who is bravely undergoing treatment for cancer. Micaella’s mum has had to give up work to care for her daughter, so this was an especially precious opportunity for the whole family to spend some quality time together.

They enjoyed a magical trip to see The Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End. It was a special evening full of music, laughter, and treasured memories.

Seeing Micaella’s beautiful smile reminds us exactly why Tabitha’s Smile exists; to bring joy and unforgettable moments to young people and their families during the most challenging times.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at His Majesty’s Theatre who were so kind, thoughtful and welcoming to Micaella and her family.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Tabitha’s Smile so far, from those who have donated, fundraised, spread the word, bought TabsFEST 2026 tickets or volunteered their time. Your kindness and generosity are already making a real difference, helping us create unforgettable experiences like this one.
